Funding
How to Deposit into Fomo
Funding a Fomo account is a standard crypto transfer. The risk is not complexity — it is the two or three details that are unforgiving if you get them wrong.
FomoFamily.com is an independent informational and affiliate website and is not Fomo Labs Inc. or the official fomo.family website.
To deposit into Fomo, open the deposit screen, select the asset and network, and send funds from your wallet or exchange to the address shown, using that exact network. The balance becomes tradable once the blockchain confirms the transfer. Sending on a different network can permanently lose the funds.

Step by step
- 1
Open the deposit screen
In the Fomo app or web app, go to your wallet or balance section and choose deposit.
- 2
Select the asset
Pick the token you intend to send. Stablecoins such as USDC are the usual choice for a trading balance.
- 3
Select the network
This is the step that matters. The same token exists on several chains, and the address is only valid on the chain shown.
- 4
Copy the address
Copy it from the app rather than typing it. Then compare the first and last six characters after pasting.
- 5
Send a small test first
For a first deposit, send a small amount, confirm it arrives, then send the rest. The extra network fee is cheap insurance.
- 6
Wait for confirmations
The transaction must be confirmed on-chain before the balance is usable. Timing depends on the network.
Funding methods
Crypto transfers (including stablecoins such as USDC) are the documented funding route. Fiat on-ramp availability depends on region and is not confirmed here.

The single most expensive mistake
Costs of depositing
The blockchain charges a network fee for the transfer, and your sending exchange or wallet may add its own withdrawal fee. Neither is set by Fomo. Trading fees are separate again and are covered on our Fomo fees page. Before you commit a large amount, check our supported chains page for what we have been able to verify.
Fomo deposit questions
- How do I deposit money into Fomo?
- Open the deposit screen in the app, choose the asset and network, copy the deposit address, and send the funds from your wallet or exchange on that exact network. The balance appears after network confirmations.
- Can I deposit USDC into Fomo?
- USDC is a widely supported stablecoin and a common way to fund a trading balance. Always confirm the network shown on your Fomo deposit screen before sending, because USDC exists on many chains.
- What happens if I deposit on the wrong network?
- Funds sent on an unsupported network are often unrecoverable. There is no reliable way to reverse a blockchain transaction, so verify the network before you send anything.
- How long does a Fomo deposit take?
- It depends on the blockchain, not on Fomo. Most transfers settle within minutes once the required confirmations are reached; congested networks take longer.
