Fomo Fees Explained

A plain explanation of Fomo's fee structure: the 0.50% minimum transaction fee, the minimum charge, network fees and spread — and how frequency multiplies all of them.

Fomo's official Terms state a transaction fee starting at 0.50%, with a minimum charge per transaction. Blockchain network fees and market spread are separate costs you also pay.

The headline number

The official Fomo Terms describe a transaction fee starting at 0.50%, subject to a minimum transaction charge. "Starting at" matters: it is a floor, not a guarantee of the rate you will pay on every trade.

Always read the confirmation screen for the actual cost of the specific trade you are about to make. That number is authoritative for you; any published rate, including ours, is a summary.

Why the minimum charge punishes small trades

A percentage fee scales with size. A minimum charge does not. On a very small trade, that minimum can represent a far higher effective percentage than the headline rate, which quietly makes experimentation expensive.

The practical implication is not to trade larger than you should — it is to trade less often, so that the fixed component is spread across fewer, better-considered decisions.

The costs that are not the platform's fee

Blockchain network fees apply when you move funds in or out, and they are set by the chain rather than by Fomo. Market spread — the gap between buy and sell prices — is another real cost, and on thinly traded tokens it can dwarf the platform fee entirely.

Slippage on low-liquidity assets belongs in the same category. It does not appear as a fee line, but it comes out of the same pocket.

Frequency is the multiplier

Every cost above is charged per transaction. Someone trading twenty times a month pays roughly twenty times the fixed cost of someone trading once, before any market outcome is considered.

Social platforms are engineered to make activity feel productive. Fee arithmetic is the counterweight: the cheapest improvement most users can make is trading less.

Fomo Fees Explained — FAQ

Does a referral link reduce Fomo fees?
Not verified. We do not claim a fee discount unless official documentation confirms one. Assume you pay the standard published rate.
Are Fomo fees competitive?
A 0.50% floor is a reasonable mid-market rate for a retail app, but it is meaningfully higher than the lowest maker-taker tiers on large spot exchanges.
Where can I see the exact fee for my trade?
On the order confirmation screen before you submit it.
Cryptocurrency trading involves substantial risk. You may lose some or all of the money you trade. FomoFamily.com does not provide financial advice.
