Fomo Deposits & Withdrawals

Funding and cashing out are standard crypto transfers. The risk is not complexity — it is the two or three details that are unforgiving if you get them wrong. This page covers both directions in one place.

To deposit into Fomo, open the deposit screen, select the asset and network, and send funds from your wallet or exchange to the address shown, using that exact network. To withdraw, close the positions you want to exit, paste your external wallet address for a supported network, confirm the amount and network, and submit. Both directions settle once the blockchain confirms the transfer, and neither can be reversed.

How to deposit into Fomo

A deposit is you sending crypto from a wallet or exchange you already control to an address Fomo displays for your account. Nothing about it is unusual, but two details decide whether it works: the network you send on, and the address you paste.

  1. 1

    Open the deposit screen

In the Fomo app or web app, go to your wallet or balance section and choose deposit.

  2. 2

    Select the asset

Pick the token you intend to send. Stablecoins such as USDC are the usual choice for a trading balance.

  3. 3

    Select the network

This is the step that matters. The same token exists on several chains, and the address is only valid on the chain shown.

  4. 4

    Copy the address

Copy it from the app rather than typing it. Then compare the first and last six characters after pasting.

  5. 5

    Send a small test first

For a first deposit, send a small amount, confirm it arrives, then send the rest. The extra network fee is cheap insurance.

  6. 6

    Wait for confirmations

The transaction must be confirmed on-chain before the balance is usable. Timing depends on the network.

Funding methods

Crypto transfers (including stablecoins such as USDC) are the documented funding route. Fiat on-ramp availability depends on region and is not confirmed here.

The single most expensive mistake

Wrong-network deposits. USDC on one chain is not USDC on another, and an address that looks valid can belong to a chain the platform does not process. If the app says one network, use that network — no exceptions, no assumptions based on other exchanges.

How to withdraw from Fomo

Moving funds off a trading platform is the step people rehearse least and regret most. Do it once with a small amount before you need to do it with a meaningful one.

  1. 1

    Decide what you are exiting

Withdrawing does not close positions for you. Close what you intend to close first, then withdraw the resulting balance.

  2. 2

    Prepare the destination wallet

Have the receiving wallet open and confirm it supports the asset and the network you plan to use.

  3. 3

    Paste, then verify the address

Copy from the wallet, paste into Fomo, then compare the first and last characters. Clipboard-swapping malware is a real and boring way to lose money.

  4. 4

    Select the correct network

The receiving wallet must be on the same chain. An address format that looks familiar is not proof of chain compatibility.

  5. 5

    Send a small test withdrawal

For a first withdrawal to a new address, send a small amount first and confirm arrival.

  6. 6

    Submit and track

Once confirmed on-chain, the transfer cannot be reversed. Keep the transaction reference if support is ever needed.

What deposits and withdrawals cost

ItemDetail
Blockchain network feeAlways appliesVaries with the chain and congestion. Charged by the network, not Fomo.
Sending exchange feeVariesIf you fund from an exchange, their withdrawal fee applies.
Fomo withdrawal feeNot verifiedNot clearly documented publicly at the time of writing.
Receiving wallet feeUsually noneSelf-custody wallets do not normally charge to receive.
Referral discount applies?NoThe referral discount covers eligible Fomo fees only, never network or third-party costs.

Trading fees are separate again and are explained on our Fomo fees page. If you are unsure which chain to use, check supported chains first, and read our safety assessment before committing a large balance.

If a withdrawal is delayed

Give the network time before escalating, then check whether the account has an outstanding verification step. Contact official Fomo support through the app or fomo.family — never through a social media account that messages you first, and never by sharing a seed phrase or password. No legitimate support process needs either.

Fomo deposit and withdrawal questions

Open the deposit screen in the app, choose the asset and network, copy the deposit address, and send the funds from your wallet or exchange on that exact network. The balance appears after network confirmations.
